Getting stuck in distraction mode can happen for a variety of reasons. For me, currently, I’ve been sitting for too long and playing post-vacation catch-up, so as soon as I’m done with this, I’m rewarding myself with a chapter or two of my current book. So there’s my first tip, wrapped up in what I’m applying personally!
What can we do to help keep ourselves moving forward in our businesses and lives? There is no magic bullet, but I’m here to share some things that help me grow my financial coaching business and help my fellow ADHD entrepreneurs gain confidence with their business and personal finances! 🤑
Running a business can be a wild rollercoaster ride, especially when you’ve got ADHD. We’re natural-born idea generators and risk-takers, which are great for running a business, but managing the financial side of things can feel like a daunting task. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by invoices, taxes, or if the thought of tracking your expenses has you in avoidance mode, you’re not alone.
Now, onto the big guns - the power to make life-altering decisions. You know how people say, "Money can't buy happiness"? Well, let me tell you, it can buy the ticket to freedom.
There are too many business owners and coaches out there telling you how quick and easy it is to hit six figures in your business, but they’re either full of shit or a lot if things worked out for them really well on the first try! I’m here to keep it real, if you can’t already tell.
Pay attention to this shift. Think about how you feel when you’re walking out of work or shutting down your computer on Friday vs. how you feel on Monday morning. These are all signs. If I had been paying attention, I wouldn’t have been able to miss them!
